Bayern Munich put on a show in front of 25,000 of their own fans, racing into a 7-0 lead by half time and eventually winning 9-1.
The Germans were in imperious form from the start, with Robert Lewandowski scoring a hat-trick and Serge Gnabry adding a brace.
The rout was completed in the second half, with Thomas Müller, Joshua Kimmich and Leroy Sané all getting on the scoresheet.
It was a chastening defeat for the visitors, who were completely outclassed by a Bayern side that is looking increasingly like the team to beat in Europe.
The win takes Bayern to the top of the Bundesliga table, and they will now be looking to extend their lead when they travel to Borussia Dortmund next weekend.
In the meantime, they can reflect on a job well done against a very good opponent.
